In the spirit of addressing this unique and challenging year, all active teams will be certified to attend Global Finals. Team Managers and Team Coordinators will receive an email on February 22, 2022 directing them to accept or decline their invitation to Global Finals via DI’s registration site (For information about Covid-19 policies at the event, please visit our Health & Safety page.)
Team Managers or Team Coordinators should accept or decline their invitation to Global Finals on DI’s registration site as soon as possible after receiving their invitation. This is very helpful, as it gives us an idea of how many teams will attend and how many volunteer Appraisers we will need for the tournament.
Team Managers or Team Coordinators pay a $1,500 deposit. This deposit is due by April 13, 2022, 11:59 p.m. EST. All checks should be made to:

Team Managers or Team Coordinators input contact information for all attendees (team members, Team Managers and parents/spectators) who plan to attend Global Finals. When attendees are registered, links to consent forms are emailed automatically (See Step 5).
The deadline to register names of all Global Finals attendees is April 13, 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time (ET). Please note that any additional attendees who register after April 13 will need to register on-site with a valid ID and Team Number. (A processing fee of $25 per person will be assessed for anyone applying for credentials on-site.)
All attendees and parents of attendees under 18 years old must complete their forms through Docusign. Forms must be completed prior to on-site registration to receive a credential.
Wednesday, April 13, 2022 is the deadline for all Global Finals services, including online registration, credential signups, and hotel blocks.
All team registrations must be completed by this date. A registration is complete when:
*A balance is permitted to be carried to the event, but teams that pay their registration in full by April 13 will be eligible for express registration on-site.
Teams may book rooms within Destination Imagination’s hotel block between February 22 and April 13.
Changes can be made to team registrations until April 13, 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time.
If a team accepts their invitation and pays their deposit to reserve their spot, but then decides not to attend, they will be considered CANCELED.
If the team cancels before April 13, 11:59 p.m. ET, Destination Imagination will refund 50% of the $1,500 deposit (i.e., $750). Refunds for cancellations prior to April 13, 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time will be processed 6 to 8 weeks after the event, less the cancellation fee of $750. Cancellation fees are not transferable.
Starting April 14, no refunds will be issued for canceled teams. If the deposit is not paid by April 13, 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time, the team will automatically be canceled.
Destination Imagination, Inc., will not refund any amounts paid to attend Global Finals 2022 for any reason, including exclusion from the event for failure to follow protocols. Destination Imagination, Inc., will not reimburse any expenses incurred by any attendee relating to COVID-19 testing, isolation or quarantining.
If a team needs additional credentials that are not entered through online registration by April 13, there will be a $25 processing fee per credential and proper forms and identification will be required on-site. To avoid significant wait times on site and additional fees, please have all attendees registered by April 13.
